Only Yahoo can answer that. We didn't request it.

Someone earlier suggested it was to help keep the Homophobics away to allow open communication for LGBT, friends and family but clearly that has not worked.

Please feel free to ask Yahoo to move it to the "relationship" or "family" section or you could request
they add whatever "culture/Group" category you would like here.

I asked a very similar question a couple months ago.

Many of the answers I got from some gay people were hostile and nasty.

Many of them have a habit of hitting anyone who dares to criticize them with some of the most vicious name-calling and vitriol you'll ever read.

Trust me, I know. I get it from them on an almost daily basis.
