Why do 12,13,14.15,16 year old girls want to hav babies it just dosent make sence????

I'm not talking about those girls that got pregnant by accident im talking about the ones that really plan it out

Because they're uneducated. If children were properly educated on exactly how hard it is to care for a newborn while still in school, they'd be more careful and use more birth control options. None of them know that sometimes the birth control pill or a condom isn't enough. If they knew that they could get the maximum protection from the pill, a condom and spermacide(sp?)

Then maybe they'd get a little sense in their heads and be more careful.

But some of them are careful and still get pregnant. I know several girls who got pregnant while using the pill and a condom.

Then again, they could have been careless with the way they used them too, I don't know.

I think it should be mandatory that all students in 7th or 8th grade take home the "robot baby". 9th grade is way too late. Half of the kids are already having sex by then, and they've already decided, and a lot of them are pregnant before then.

I had the "robot baby" in the 9th grade and the teacher had it set on "colicy baby" and it was HELL. I thought I wanted a baby then, but after that I made sure I was married and stable before I got pregnant.

I could not answer this question. I honestly have no idea, except that they think it is easier than it really is. They think because they have babysat or watched a sibbling now and then that they could become a parent as well. I am 26 and my husband is 28 and we can hardly handle it at times with the jobs and the house and all of the other things in life. Have these girls get a real 50+ hr a week job, a car payment(s) and a mortgage payment. Then see how they feel about it.

You people on here should not be calling these girls who get pregnant stupid. They may have made a stupid decision but they are not stupid. They may just need to feel loved and they feel a baby is the only way to do that. Also, all teens who get pregnant are not going to be bad parents. Some are going to be better than the older people who are having children. I'm not pregnant but I know that it isn't right to judge them. There is a girl at my school who had a child and graduated high school this year. She didn't give up and she is a great mother. You shouldn't judge them before you even know them.

I am wondering the same thing. Why do these young girls want babies so young? Do they not have enough self-respect and self-esteem to warrant growing up first themselves??? I think it's become a major epidemic here in the U.S. It doesn't seem to be such a big deal in other countries from my impression, but here in the United States, young people have so much going for them and so many opportunities ahead of them in life....why screw it up and have a child when they're still a child themself??!! It's surely not fair to the babies that are born that end up having their "child" parent raising them.

Young ones, save having the babies for when you are an adult and have received an education (at least a high school diploma) and been on your own for a while!!! It's not fair to all these babies born to have to live being raised by their grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.!!!! This is part of the problem in society today - - the breakdown of the family structure.

i dont think that they are stupid seeing as though im 15. everyone (in there mind) wants a baby cause there cute but when you look at the fact that they grow out of the 1 month 2 month cuteness at this age we wouldnt be able to handle the 3 and 4 year old badness. and i agree we are to young and some of us are immature and we really dont know what we want. we just look at it at they are cute and thats it. personally i think that if most of the girls today would keep their legs closed then they wouldnt have to worry bout the fact of becoming pregnant. dont get me wrong i dont mean to out down any teens who are pregnant cause my friend got pregnant and some of these girls didnt want to get pregnant now but its something that god had in store for them. He makes everything happen for a reason

They see a cute little baby and imagine that the child is going to always stay that way. They forget that babies cry almost ALL THE TIME, and constantly need your attention and affection. Those girls also don't know what it's like to first off just have the baby. Also I think those girls forgot how they were like to their mother growing up, and the predicament she was in.

i kno.....i dont get it at all! why do they want to get pregnant at a young age. i hav four siblings and two of the r toddlers. it is soo hard to take care of them. u hav to feed them, give them a bath, and watch evry single move they make, and i mean u hav too. it is soooo sad tht grls want to get pregnant. *shaking head*

It could be a number of things. Maybe they feel neglected by family and want attention or they want someone they can love. Its all about that Maury.
