You know if you had all the money in the world it wouldn't make you happier. You might get more things that you did want before, but then you would still want even more and more. You might have a lot of friends, but they too disappoint you sometimes. You would never be happy with it. You might be happy for a while, but then you find out it isn't enough and you want more. So what makes you content? That's a hard question isn't it? I know the answer, but even I am still working on being content with what I have. Maybe you know the answer too?! Want to take a shot at it?

Contentment has it's base in happiness... One can never be content if they are unable to be happy with themselves, no material possession, nor any religious or social belief will ever change your baseline feelings, this must be done within first!

Reality is what you make of it.... It is the greatest illusion to have ever set itself within the human mind.

you are truly content when you are able to live your life exactly as you want to at all times, without having to think of the consequences or the causes of your actions.
it does not mean that you have every material craving but instead you are able to want only what you are able to attain. when your heart does not disobey your brain and your brain is free to choose any course of action you want without any fear of causing any hurt to you or to anyone else..
in short, being able to live for the moment without giving two hoots to the world around you.

know the answer for me. I would be truely content if I had a routine. I am content when I can create, love and fulfill someone's dreams.

Too much text.

( Please forgive. You went to a lot of trouble to manifest that. It's the question grabbed me. )

Not too much. Not too little. Just the right thing, pertinent to me. Not just me, but for others as well. Not everyone. But certain others.

Withal, that not being the essence of what gives my life meaning. This, being a lifelong journey not exclusively experiential.

( Might not make sense, but it's as succinct as I can get it without being voluminous. Thanks for your question, really. )
