I have had them all my life. They are so cute and in the winter when I have them in a tank in my room, they are soooooooo relaxing to watch at night with their UVA light on. Kind of like a tank full of tropical fish, but better because they will swim at the side of the tank and beg for food and then eat right out of my hand.

As much as I love pet turtles, I confess that I find Red-ears rather boring. I prefer Painteds and maps when I keep pond turtles.
Now tortoises- THERE are great turtles!

i have 3. i have my 2 males in a 300 gallon tank and the female in her custom made 120 tank with a nesting spot.

Yes and box and snappers too. I like turtles.I love to just sit and watch them. I find most of them in the woods or along the roadside.

i used to own some.
i found them to be quite smelly but i would consider keeping them again cause theyre great
