Hollyoaks song at the start?

Hiya, i was watching Hollyoaks yesterday and the song "mad world" was on but was sung by a female voice...
Can anyone tell me who sung that version and whether i can get hold of it?

i heard that myself , it sounded like that gril who was on fame academy. Alex parks. but not sure. it was a touching version. i nearly cried. lol.... just looked on her web site. it was her its on her Introduction album.

Tears For Fears did the original...odd, it was the opening song on CSI last nite, too.
