Angels and Demons was better. Suspense, drama, and just a darn good read! Fantastic and over the top. I could not put it down. They will ruin it if they try to make it into a movie.

DaVinci Code was a good work of fiction. Sure some of the historical facts and places were there, but it was a work of fiction! Great story. Too bad it made the albino leauge all mad or whatever. I liked the book. Did not see the film as of yet.

Demons and Angels was actually written and published before The Da Vinci Code. Demons and Angels didn't get as much press because it isn't as controversial. I've read The Da Vinci Code, and seen the movie, and I've read part of Demons and Angels. I like both of them. If you're Christian and offended easily, then neither of these books are for you.

I find it amusingly ironic that 'The Davinci Code' is--like the Bible story itself--a plagiarism lifted from far earlier works.

'Angels & Demons' actually pre-dates the 'Code' and is in my view this author's first attempt at the very same story and, given the absence of the more gifted editors who worked on 'Code' , is largely unreadable.

Why not start by reading "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" http://hiddenmysteries.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16302
first?

Dan Brown certainly did :-)

I read the book, it's nicely written but I wouldn't believe everything you read in that book. I'm still waiting to read Angels & Demons...(it's on hold in the library, it's taking a while).

The Davinci Code is libel.

I have read the davinci code. I thought it was really good, but others dont like it becuase of the *secrets* it reveals and how they are offended by it.

If it weren't for the bet, I would have thrown it away. The fact that he claims it is loaded full with facts is bs. Yes, the Louve is in Paris. Paris is in France. And England and France or seperated by water, are the extent of facts that he does get right.

This is straight hack work. Wooden characters, stilted dialog, boring action scenes, absolutely rotten writing.
