Vonage - I Love Vonage. It works anywhere you have a highspeed connection. I got rid of AT&T and use Vonage totally. It is cheaper and just as good.
I use RoadRunner, but comcast is very similiar.

I have Vonage with Charter cable. It works fine for me, the only thing that I don't like is when the cable goes out, everything is down. No TV, no Internet, no phone. But as far as price and quality go, I love it.

I have been using Viatalk and service has been wonderful. they have plans from 9$ month to 21$. You get all teh features that you would have to pay for with a reg phone company. I love the Free 411, call blocking of anonymous callers, alarms u can setup via teh web. Check them out....u cant loose.

Lingo is vastly better than Vonage
http://www.lingo.com
It is also cheaper and gives much more service.
$21.95/mth includes free unlimited calling to the USA, Canada, and 17 countries in Western Europe.
It is true, you need a reliable broadband service, but that is true for any VoIP phone. In order not to be down if the electricity flickers, I have my modem, my router, my Ethernet hubs and the VoIP interface, as well as my cordless phone on UPSs
If you are interested in the Lingo service, I can refer you (Just email me) and that'll give you a $25.00 credit as soon as you complete your 3rd month with them.
