I love sitting at a bay window by the sea and watching as the storms roll in over the horizon and watch the lighting in the sky. Then the waves pick up outside and you can hear the thunder. Nothing compares to the smell of the rain.

Hello. - Definitely. When I was living in New Orleans and a storm was rolling in, my friends and I would pack a lite picnic and go to Lake Pontchartrain. In the Summertime, a lot of Thunderstorms occurred, they were amazing.

Have a nice weekend. :)

Oh man do I ever, when I was growing up in the FL panhandle we would go to the fish camp and watch the big afternoon storms roll in over the bay. The way the wind whipped the bay into whitecaps and the ocasional lightning bolt was awesome. Now that I am older when theres a big storm and I'm safe in my house there is absolutely nothing better than having a little love session while the sky cracks and pops!!

YES!!!! I thought that i was weird for thinking that. Unfortunately i do not live by the water but when i am on vacation, i love when there is a storm. I have a really big window in my room at home and whenever there is a huge storm with thunder and lightning at night, i turn off my lights and sit in my chair and just watch. It is so wonderful. I love it.

Wow...I thought I was weird for loving thunderstorms. Something serene about the whole thing. The sounds, sights, smells, and even the feeling. When that cool breeze glances at the little hairs on your arms and sends a shiver through your whole body, somehow it makes me feel alive. I grew up in the tropics and I miss them. A light blanket, a good book or soft someone : ), rain "sizzle" on the ground, leaves being brushed by a cool breeze, an occasional booming rolling thunderclap ... man what could be better.

Thanks for the question...made me think fond memories. : )

I agree with absolutely everything you say - but you are missing something very important.

I don't know how old you are or which type of music you enjoy but when a storm is almost overhead - to enjoy it at its maximum, play the classical piece of music called "Mars" which is part of the Planet's Suit by Holst.

Play it loud - you will not believe the atmosphere you can create.

Enjoy
