I have a difficult time attracting someone of the opposite sex, to go out with me.

I have been told that there may be some kind of facial lotion or makeup, that would improve my chances of finding a wholesome dancing partner. One that I would not be ashamed to take home to meet mom and dad.

Do you think that eye shadow would be helpful, too?

How about hair styling?

It's not about makeup. It's about attitude.
If you have a specific problem that you think is reducing your attractiveness, then you should ask a question about that.

Depending on your age, guys may or may not be interested in you for some pretty stupid reasons. As I got into my 30s, I realised that the guys my age were a lot more intelligent, and while initial attraction seems to be based on how pretty you are, the attraction doesn't last if you don't have the attitude to back it up. If you don't have the look to attract guys, you may have to go to them yourself. More likely though... the guys are looking at you and thinking you're not attractive because you don't think so. Guys can pick up on this... I know some "questionable" girls who seem to get more than their fair share of the action, and I know it's because they have an attitude that says "I'm here boys, come and get it!"

First of all, no makeup is going to change facial features. You can only try to use it to distract attention from the features which you are uncomfortable about. And to enhance your good ones!

The main thing in attracting someone of the opposite sex is...personality! Be a fun, interesting person with a good sense of humor. Show interest in others; don't stand in a corner with a foul look on your face. Don't do a lot of whining/complaining about your life. Be a good conversationalist.

Watch the news/ go online/read and find out about issues in the world today.

Eyeshadow depends on your coloring. Can't help you without details of your skin, eye, hair color.

Same with hair style. Without knowing your face's shape, can't give suggestions.

Have confidence. Don't be so concerned about outward appearances!

I don't really think that your makeup has anything to do with finding a partner. The real question here is.... Are you happy with yourself? Once you can answer yes to that, then you will find that someone will take interest in you for who you are and not what kind of makeup you have on. Or the type of hairstyle that you have. Good luck.

Bare minerals will cover imperfections.
If you have nice eyes, wear a light shade that will help bring them out.
& just fix your hair.
