I have a difficult time attracting someone of the opposite sex, to go out with me.

I have been told that there may be some kind of facial lotion or makeup, that would improve my chances of finding a wholesome dancing partner. One that I would not be ashamed to take home to meet mom and dad.

Do you think that eye shadow would be helpful, too?

How about hair styling?

Well it would help to see what you look like now. I mean do you wear too much currently or too little, what is your facial coloring what does your hair look like what color is it. Makeup yes can improve any ones looks immensely but you need to know what the person looks like to tell them what colors and how to apply it for their features. Sorry :-(

There isn't a Magic Pretty Potion out there. There are several different kinds of makeup ranging from expensive to dirt cheap that can help you look better.

I think your bigger problem is that you don't FEEL attractive. So if makeup gives you more confidence, go for it, just don't pile it on. Try some foundation or concealer if your skin tone is uneven, a little mascara, some lip gloss. As for your hair, think about getting a new cut or style or coloring it. Go to a salon for some advice.

You don't need to reinvent yourself, you just need to feel confident in your looks. Guys go out with girls who don't wear much makeup all the time. It's more about being outgoing, fun and friendly and comfortable in your own skin. Making a drastic change to wearing a full face of makeup and obsessing about your hair will only make you look insecure, so make any changes gradually.

What do you look like? Like what's wrong with you? Get your eyebrows shaped professionally, that will make a big difference. You can do it for 5 bucks at great clips. Bare minerals makeup is good and easy to use, it makes your skin look healthy and glowing and natural; they sell this in kits based on your skin color at ulta with everything included. Wear a good mascara and a lipgloss or stick that will look natural. Revlon colorstay overtime is great because whatever color you pick will look good, it adds just a tint of color and stays without running for at least 12 hours. Eyeshadow would depend on the color of your eyes, but if you do bare minerals, it comes with a complexion booster (mines a bronzer) that you can brush like eyeshadow and it looks great on anyone. Also hairstyle, get something that would go with your face shape, whatever it might be.
If it's a problem with your face shape (like the way the bones and features are situated) money can always fix ugly; celebreties do it all the time.
If there's nothing wrong with the way you look, maybe it's your attitude. You may be coming across as standoffish, which gets mistaken for shyness. Take a self esteem class and realize you are worth it.

If you want to know what look is best for you, get a free makeover at a cosmerics counter or get a book about fashion/style. Magazines like Cosmo and Glamour can give you a lot of tips. Also, if you know someone who's look you admire, ask her for help. She will probably be flattered.
