I have a certificate as an interior decorator and I wanted to start my own business out of my home. Before I go any further I was woundering if anyone has had success as an interior decorator?

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Start Your Own Interior Design Business and Keep It Growing!: Your Guide to Business Success : Touch of Design by Linda M. Ramsay
* FabJob Guide to Become an Interior Decorator (FabJob Guides) by Tag Goulet, Catherine Goulet
* The Interior Design Business Handbook: A Complete Guide to Profitability by Mary V. Knackstedt

interior layout- the tremendous difficulty is shifting into uni... you'll have a very sturdy OP because such diverse people attempt to do it. i don't believe of it will be a very functional occupation notwithstanding...

I think its 'faddy' and so many people watch all thesde desing programmes on TV they won't be paying somone to ponce around their house and do it for them - I sure wouldn't
