I hate buying stuff to bleed on and then throw them away. It is a waste of money. I agree.

At one time there was a campaign by feminists who refused to pay for sanitary products and would simply walk into shops and take what they wanted off the shelves.

I think that you could probably try this - If you picked up a big box of tampax and just walked out with it in your hand, who's going to stop you? Just turn round and shout, "I'm bleeding!!"

Seriously, though, I think you have a point. But what's worse are the 'feminine hygiene products' like scented panty liners and sprays, which sell the idea that your vagina smells disgusting. All woman should know that's just not true.

Actually, I wonder where we can draw a line on this one.
There has been so many users and abusers of the positive help and services in this country, that its all on its knees right now.
Get a grip and a job and go buy this sort of thing, for gooodness sake, you will be charging the government for breathing next!
When you think of the poverty in the world, I should consider yourself lucky to be able to buy even the cheapest form of sanitary wear. I think we need to get things into perspective?

I feel that women who are low income
should get some kind of break like a coupon or
voucher that the individual stores or companies could subsidize, but these products are a choice that we have.

Before reliable contraception came along women were either pregnant or breast feeding and so periods were hardly ever experienced by women. You could always avoid them in this way! Mind you women did have an average of 12-15 kids in their reproductive lifetime.

Yes I think they should be free at least between the ages of say 13 to 18yrs. Example 13 years old and not earning a wage - who pays for them - parents!

yes i ALWAYS moan about this,
it is like we are being punished for being female!!

its not our fault we go through this once a month, and its bad enough getting the cramps, bloatedness etc without having to fork out a small fortune on tampons!!

they should be free!!! its not our fault!!!
i am a single mum and what with nappies for daughter and nappies for me..... lol costing me a small fortune a year!
and then when she starts too in distant future...... better start saving now!

I certainly do agree it costs a fortune to buy products today.

no because it costs money to produce the products and WORKING PEOPLE work for the companies so if they didnt charge, that wouldnt be fair for the people who work for the tampon/pad companies.

all it would do is cause MORE people to be unemployed.
