Get memtest its a ram stress test that you can load at bootup. You can also try sisoft sandra to test the ram.

I would try to hunt down the problem. It could be a bios problem or a ram problem or a motherboard slot that has gone funky. Computers are weird sometimes. Try going down to 1 ram if you have more then one see if you get it and swap em back and forth see if you get the error. Also move around sockets ont he motherboard. Try to narrow it down.

Go into bios some let you customize ram settings significantly. I would lower the speed on it if you can or set to factory settings.

Also try resetting your bios by taking out the battery. It's a tinker with everything problem really but you can narrow it down considerable by doing the above

Your ram is failing a test that the PC puts it through prior to booting. If your applications run fine, I would not worry about it much. If you computer becomes unstable, or you start getting memory address errors here is what I would try.
Remove and reset all the memory sticks in the PC.
If this doesn't work, remove all the memory sticks and boot the computer with each one individually. The one where the computer hangs will be the one that I would replace. In addition, there are some fine software products out there that can test your memory for you if you want to spend the money for them.

You've installed some RAM as of late didn't you? Different speeds can cause problems, not always is that the case, keep in mind if you installed a faster type of RAM closer to the CPU it will recognize that one first and the others last. When buying RAM look at the stick you can tell the speed just by looking at it. -60 would be 60 NS so try not to mix different types of RAM.. go to RAM GUY.COM

I desire you will have been backing up your knowledge. If it's not a HD failure you must be equipped to glue the HD to a further laptop for knowledge restoration I have had this main issue arise a few instances through the years (special desktops) Several special explanations. The most up-to-date time (and has happened on different machines as good) one of the crucial ram modules went dangerous or grew to be broken by some means. It took a while to determine... the fast reduce description is I took one out, it labored nice (however slower), so I switched them and attempted it with the second module and after a couple of mins - blue reveal useless. Have had a million enjoy of each going dangerous and a pair of stories wherein it gave the impression each modules had been dangerous however grew to become out to be one other main issue akin to HD failure, broken cpu brought about via intermittent fan failure. If each fail it - possibly - each modules are dangerous or that nor is dangerous simplest option to uncover that out is to move get them established. I could additionally advocate the opposite stuff stated - akin to cleansing in view that you're going to have the case open.... To make your efforts a lot less difficult - #a million unplug from the wall. I recommend a flooring strap for you and the laptop, however your option, then #two do the cleansing famous above. #three at the same time the case is open assess for burn or soften watching marks. #four (eliminate flooring straps then) plug laptop in and switch it on and seem for lovers that are not running - as famous above CPU fan is #a million principal - if it kind of feels to stutter or flutter, sounds asymmetric or kinda out of sync anything time period you desire, I could recommend alternative (however with age of laptop I could vote get more recent laptop).
