As long as terrorists and extremists exist who want to harm people and destroy things, no one and nothing can assure humanity a safe future.
Any nutcase with a homemade bomb or chemical weapon can wreck havoc.

No. There will always be someone who will take the new findings meant for good and turn them to bad. Nothing in this world is "safe".

Mandatory Birth Control Worldwide (1 child per qualified family IMO)
Mandatory environmental regulation by a group that can veto local governments in order to protect our planet.
