My opinion as a woman? I would vote for a black man before I would vote for a white woman. It's not a black/white thing, it's a man/woman thing.
I know it's not popluar thought, but it is true nonetheless, men are more logical, women are more emotional. This is our biological makeup. That's not to say that women are not as smart as men, because we are. That is not to say that there's not an awful lot of men out there who don't need Midol, because there are. It is just that women tend to be more reactionary, make decisions based on how they "feel," etc.
Either one would generally be accepted in this country, especially because Americans like to believe they are progressive thinkers.

Whether White or Black that is not the question. The need of the hour is for a popular President of the people who understands the human values everywhere and acts with proper advisors. Every citizen knows what is his contribution to the national exchequer and how the government addresses his troubles. So more for the citizens first and rest for other matters will bring fame to the incubent.

I'd favor black man over white woman (given their qualities are equal, since it really should be about qualities, not skin color), because of its positive effect it would have on inclusion of minorities who are left out too much as it is.. The few black puppets kissing white butt like in the current administration, is not what appeals to the minority groups..
In reality, a white woman is much more likely to become president, or a black republican who is as white on the inside as any other white person, which defeats the whole idea, since they won't be representing the black comunity, but the white one.
The fact that this question is even asked, and that race and sex is still such an issue in the US, is really what deserves question.. America continues to think in terms of race.. even if they now claim you should wear it with pride.. but what they are doing is continuing to emphasize race and skin color to divide people.. with or without 'pride'.. it's seggregating.

I think it will be a Black Man. A lot of men out there just don't really like the idea of a Woman in charge. Or maybe a Black Woman, for instance, Condi Rice?

I would say a white woman, this country is racist to its core. especially the south, it is a breathing ground for racist, hateful people. Some of them are making other white people who realized that oppressing others is shameful, look very bad. I think once the education system change down south and the people become more educated and less ignorant then things will improve. Hopefully. Hate is so old and boring.

Most likely a white woman because there's so many people out there that don't believe that a black person could run the country...Which is really unfortunate..

The real questions are which party will nominate the person for election, whether the person is the best qualified and, finally, whether the voters will exhibit honesty and common sense.
I'll support either of them or any white male, equally, provided that the candidate stands for what I believe in AND is eminently qualified for the job.
