You haven't mentioned how long you have been working for the present company. If it is only for a week or a few days, then it is not worth doing what you intend to do. Whereas, if the duration is several years, then it is worth sending a 'Thank You' message followed maybe by a small treat depending on the number of colleagues in the department you work, say a slice of cake for everyone! As for the e-mail, you can write on the following lines: Dear colleagues Hi, how are you all keeping? Well, I just want to say that it has been a wonderful time working with you all for the last .... years and you have been very helpful to me in many ways. But good times do get punctuated or terminated. I am leaving this company as of ...... and I will miss you all as much as you do. Do keep in touch at my e-mail id...... With best wishes ....
