I hear that there is a huge asteroid that is going to hit earth in 2009. I went to Nasa.com and could not find anything on this, can you give me some websites?

Didn't you see Deep Impact? Do you have ANY IDEA what sort of mass panic would ensue if we were warned years in advance that a giant asteroid was going to strike the earth? There would be anarchy - world wide anarchy, mass suicides, no one would pay their bills - the entire civilized structure of mankind would collapse.
It is a statistical and mathematical certainty that at some point in our future we WILL be struck by a giant celestial body. The odds of that happening in 2009, however, are just as good as them happening in 3009.
If you are seriously worried about it, I suggest you invest in a generator, a butt load of MRE's, bottled water, batteries and begin barricading your house against looters or mutant zombies out to eat your brain.

You were told a lie. Or a rumor or an urban legend. There are millions of objects out there that could be a problem. We track some and find more to track everyday. Nothing in the pipeline for '09 that I've heard of.

there is always the possibility. I was watching a show about this on the discovery channel.. maybe the history channel....try their website...dont be scared they have plans to stop one before it hits.
