You can use a bronzer no matter what color skin you have, you should just make sure that you aren't putting it on like a clown. use an appropriate amount for your skin color, it is just to add a touch of sun not change the shade of your skin. I would us just a little bit of your regular blush and then apply the bronzer with a big brush to your cheeks nose and forehead to make your face look sun-kissed

I am VERY pale and I've had great luck with self-tanners and bronzers.
First of all, check out http://sunless.com for recommendations, especially the message boards. This is a great resource for truly unbiased opinions. (As opposed to the articles that run in magazines that are basically ads.)
Personally, I think Clarins is overpriced and overhyped.
If you have oily skin, then use a powder bronzer. Make sure you use a really big brush (natural bristle). Smile when you apply it so that you can really get it on the apples of your cheeks then blend in a circular motion from there. Make sure to apply some to the bride of your nose and your temples/forehead. Think about the way the sun would hit you. Avoid anything with too much glitter.
If you have dry or normal skin, consider a liquid or gel bronzer.
Whatever you use, make sure to apply some to your neck and collarbones and be reallly careful about blending near the jawline.
I have combination skin. Here are two recent favorites:
L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Dual Action Bronzer/Self-Tanner for Face in Medium. Yes, this is a drugstore brand but it is my FAVORITE discovery of the summer. It's easy to apply and it gives you a beautiful glow right away. (It looks really light going on but wait about 5 minutes and you'll see what I mean.) I'm stocking up on this in case they discontinue it. It doesn't clog your pores and it looks completely natural even in direct sunlight.
This is more of a "make up" option. For a liquid bronzer, I blend Revlon Skinlights in Caramel with moisturizer and then apply it like I would any moisturizer (make sure to gently wipe off your eyebrows and hairline). Or, sometimes I just use it on my nose and cheeks. This also has a nice finish, but practice with your application in different lights because it gives you quite a bit of color. (And once again, watch the jawline!)
Usually, I skip blush if I'm using a bronzer but I will occasionally use a little Stila convertible color or Benetint on my cheeks. It can have a really cute, natural effect because it looks like you got a little too much sun on your cheeks.
Good luck and stay out of the sun!

Everyone has bronzer these days and they're all different colors! Put a swipe of it on the inside of your fore arm- don't look at the color of the bronzer, look at the skin AROUND the bronzer. Does it look bright and glowing or does it look grey and sallow? It will make your face look that way, too. Look for one that has a little pink or coral in it- not too yellow. Then put it where you would get the first touches of a sunburn(skipping the end of your nose!)You can leave it at that for casual, everyday, or use a little rose blush on the cheeks for more glow. Go easy with both.

Yes you can! Just buy one that's lighter in color, not the very deep golds and tans. Use a large brush and tap off the excess. Go over your nose, cheeks, and chin. You can still use a blush if you like, but you may not want to depending on your bronzer. Play with it until you find a look you like. I'm fair also and Clarins makes a great bronzer for fair skin. It's pricey, though.

Yes, only I wouldn't use a pure tan bronzer but a peachy-bronze color. Try Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse bronzer (either color), Clinique Shimmering Tones powder in Peach Bronze, or BeneFit Dallas.
You can use it instead of blush, and for a more sun-kissed look you can dust it lightly (and I do mean LIGHTLY) on your T-zone (forehead and down the center of your nose) in addition to some on your cheeks. Places that the sun would hit naturally.

Powder Bronzer for Fair Skin
If the thought of bronzer has always scared you, you'll love Laura Mercier's new pressed-powder bronzer for fair skin, called Matte Bronze Light. It offers just the faintest hint of tan. At LauraMercier.com.

Yes you can use it just choos a light shade, revlon has some nice shades. Get a bronzer brush and put in all of the places on your face the you would normally get sun such as the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin...I use a little blush too just on the apples of my cheeks, but you don't have too it depends on the kind of look you are going for...casual don't use blush...if its a special occaion then use a little blush just on the apples of your cheeks.

yes, just make sure its not too dark. you can certainly apply it instead of blush and in the same way, but you can put it on more of your face. I like hard candy's bronzers. go to a sephora or your local beauty shop and ask them for suggestions!

Get Philosophy's bronzer it's the best color I've used. Very natural not the usual orange. I comes with a sponge tip applictor for an airbrush affect, I still use mine with a brush. You can use it alone or under a brush. Start with your cheeks, then go up your temples lightly & then on your forehead.
