If the computer did not come with a "restore CD" then you most likely have a restore "partition" on the hard disk.

Try this.... boot the computer up and when it gets to the post (or manufacturer splash screen) start tapping on the "F10" key. This should bring to a restore mode. If the F10 option does not work try F12. if it still does not work from there... you can email me or IM me from yahoo.

Good Luck....

With an install CD you can not. However, if your computer came with a Windows license (usually a sticker on your PC that has a Windows serial number) you can legally use ayone else's copy of Windows XP to reinstall on your computer. Just enter your serial number when it ask for it.

You can also try contacting you PCs manufacterer or Microsoft itself. Both usually make Windows XP CDs (without a serial number) available for a small fee ($10-20).

It should have came with a CD. If not, then I would talk to the people that sold you the computer. Windows XP, is one of the things that you purchased when you bought your computer.

With many new systems you are supposed to create your own restore CDs. If you did not then you may as well go to a store and buy a copy. If the computer is fairly new and still under warrenty contact the manufacturer.

Haha, thiss made me laugh when i read your question and no one was able to answer it. To reformat it ( ie. doing it without the CD) tap the "F10" key when your computer starts up. Just start tapping it over and over right when you turn on your computer. That will take you to your drive that has the contents of the restore disk. The rest is self explanitory. Have fun!

If your computer did not come with a restoration CD you may have a program on it that allows you to create a restoration CD.

If you don't have that you should contact the vendor who sold you the computer and ask them about a restoration CD.

Good Luck

Some computers come with a reboot disc and others have the reinstall built into the computer. Your owners manual should explain how to do it if its already programmed in.
