----------------------------
1) You don't put a comma before "that" because there is no pause.
2) The second one should have either a semicolon or a period where the comma is.
3)The third one is the same as the second one.
4)The fourth one is the only sentence left.
You don't put a comma between two complete sentences, you put a semicolon or a comma and then a conjunction. The "if" in number four makes it possible to place the comma afterwords. Don't listen to the rest of these crazies!!!
Ex: I often carry a cell phone with me, for it helps if someone is trying to reach me.
The comma and the "for" help to join the two sentences together.
You could also use: and, nor, but, or, yet, so in place of "for", but I thought that for fit.

Number 4 is the correct answer. The first part (before the comma), is a prepositional phrase acting on the main thought, "I wouldn't have missed the opening act."
Number 1 is wrong in spelling and grammatically (not "that," should be "whom.")
Number 2 is wrong because you have two sentences, so you should have used a semicolon. You also need a period at the end of the sentence. Like duh?
Number 3 is wrong for the same semicolon error as number 2.

Use a comma to set off introductory elements, as in "Running toward third base, he suddenly realized how stupid he looked."
It is permissible to omit the comma after a brief introductory element if the omission does not result in confusion or hesitancy in reading. If there is ever any doubt, use the comma, as it is always correct. If you would like some additional guidelines on using a comma after introductory elements.
I think it's number 4.

4 is correct
1 - A comma is not needed before 'that'.
2 - Wrong/missing punctuation: Two complete thoughts are incorrectly linked by comma, and there is no period.
3 - Wrong punctuation: two complete thoughts that are better linked with a semi-colon.

4, because 1 does not need a comma, and 2 and 3 are comma splices, sentences that use commas where periods or semicolons are appropriate.

None of them are correct.
1) delete the comma and "that"
2) & 3) are comma splices. replace the comma with a period and start a new sentence.
4) delete the comma, it's not necessary

3. I often carry a cell phone with me, it helps if someone is trying to reach me.
Because it has:
a capital letter at the begginng of the sentence
the comma is in the right place
and it has a period at the end of the sentence
