Hell, I walk my 23 year old azz through the malls and collect as much candy as I can for myself on Halloween, I'm too ashame to go door to door. When my baby is born in August or September and she gets old enough to Trick or Treat, I'll let her, just in a safer place like a mall, not through a neighborhood.

No I have not let my kids go trick or treating since the whole 9/11/01 ordeal. I'm to paranoid about what could happened while me and my kids are out ringing doorbells for candy! You never know who is behind that door!

This will be our second year taking our 4 year old out for trick or treat... yes... we trick or treat... we think it should be a part of every kids life.

as a Christian, I am firmly against the celebration of witchcraft, and ghosts and goblins, and such, however, my teenagers are free to make that choice for themselves.
I don't provide the cost of their costumes, and I don't take them myself. They have to earn their own costume money, and find their own group of friends to go with, they aren't allowed to go alone.

I let my kids be kids and let them have fun. THey are only young once. Let them eat the candy. It wont kill them. Just inspect it if you are worried

When my kids were young, I or their Dad, escorted them, and checked the candy.
