I am maybe not the person to answer this since I am straight but since you are looking for opinions I would tell my kids straight up.. kids are not stupid and if you pussyfoot around a subject they know it .. you are better to respect them and yourself enough to tell them the truth and then explain to them that it is perfectly normal.. I'm sure there must be support groups and tips on how to let them know. I think it is worse to make a big deal out of something that is part of everyday life.. depending on how old they are the bigger deal you make of it the bigger deal they will make of it

well how old are your kids if you think that they can understand then tell them that you like girls. but if they are young then then i would just tell them that she is a "Friend" that you like to spend time with. nothing more nothing less one day they might come up to you and ask or you might just have to tell them the best way you know how. Somehow, I am guessing you are a single teenage mother. Or at least you still have the brain of one. Too bad you have kids now, you don't sound ready.
Don't tell them, unless you are moving in together. When they are old enough to understand it, they will figure it out themselves.

Be upfront and honest with them , let them know you care about their feelings . Let them get to know her , as your girlfriend don't lie to them and say she is just a friend.. I am sure in today's society they realize this is nothing to be ashamed of and that we all deserve happiness. I hope all works out well for you . and good luck with your kids, no matter how they take it they will come around you are their mom and they love you just like you love them . god bless.

how old are your kids and would they understand. you really don't have anything to worry about until your living together,just tell your kids that she is a real good friend

first ask them what they think about gay relationships and if they're ok with it, then tell them the truth. good luck with that by the way, cuz some kids arent that understanding.
