I really enjoy a good thunderstorm, The more lightning, thunder and wind, the better. I am also fascinated by documentaries on tornadoes and hurricanes. I am in awe of the power of these storms.

Thunderstorms are spectacular. You should be able to enjoy them as much as a good fireworks show. Once you are in a place where you don't have to be concerned too much about your personal safety, there is no reason not to enjoy them. Or maybe the risk to personal safety is part of the enjoyment for some people. It could be thrilling to be in a thunderstorm the same way it is thrilling for some people to go sky diving or race cars, because there is a risk of death or injury.

I do not think it is strange at all. I love to sit out on our back patio during a thunderstorm and watch the free light show, take in the sweet smell of the rain, and watch the wind drive swirls of rain across the horizon and down the street...mother nature at her best, as long as it is not causing damage.

Absolutely not !!!! I love the thunderstorms... I live where we have hurricanes and it is awesome, however a tornado hmmmm NOT, they come out of nowhere with no warning and i don't want to get blown away... not by a tornado anyway ;-)) keep on enjoying them

Of course not! My husband and I used to live in Louisiana and the thunderstorms were incredible! We'd sit under our carport and watch the thunder in the summer's night sky. Wonderful. Enjoy.

They are cool aren't they. I usually enjoy them too, up to a point. I stop liking them when I am trying to sleep or they are so close that the trees are getting uprooted.
Maybe you should be a storm chaser. That would be an exciting job.

No, that's perfectly normal. I love storms too, and know a lot of people who do as well.
As long as you're not delighting in the destruction of property and/or the loss of life that can come with one of those storms, I would say you're normal.
