Yes you can! A girlfriend of mine had her period, a light one, but she still had it. Her first two pregnancy tests (at home) said no, then one said yes. She went to the Dr. and the pee test said no as well. She took two more home tests later that week and they both said yes, the blood work at the doctor said yes! Now she has a cutie lil man just a few weeks old. SOOOO i would go to the doctor and have them do blood work, that's the ONLY way to tell.
If you don't want to go to the doctor, take the home pregnancy test FIRST thing in the morning when you wake up. don't go to the bathroom in the middle of the night - that's when all of your hormones are strongest and you'll get a more accurate reading.

It is NOT possible to have a period and be pregnant. If you are pregnant and bleeding this is considered abnormal bleeding and could mean a possible miscarriage or other pregnancy complications. A period happens when the egg is not fertilized and the corpus luteum stops producing progesterone and the lining of the uterus is shed. Home tests are very accurate so she probably isn't pregnant. She should take another test in a week and if still no period see her gyn.

Hi
This is possible as some women are ovulating and menstruating at the same time.
Sperm needs an egg and rupturing tissue and blood are no obstructions to it. It does its job.
She should take the test again after 3 weeks of mensturation.
less than 10% owmen however exhibit this anomaly.

could be something else. However, i had my period when i was first pregnant before. If the tests say Negative, its likely that shes not prego b/c they are pretty darn accurate these days. Tell her to go to a Doctor to make sure its something more serious.

She could still be pregnant. Yes the tests are not always right, but most of the time they are. Simply get a couple more tests to make sure.

She would need to consult with a doctor...period means no pregnancy...all home tests are 99.9% accurate if you read the box and follow the directions accordingly

Sure you can. I've heard of my brother's girlfriend having a period 3 times and still having a baby. Doesn't make sense to me, but there it is.

She should see a doctor. You can have some spotting when you are pregnant by its not like a period. How old is she? She may be menopausal.
