from KL u can drive to S'pore & the toll fees one way arriving in Johore baru is about MR$43/= . Then upon arrival to the Spore check point u will not need to pay fees if u have not ever driven into the island , free for 10 days. U have to purchase a CASH CARD for ur entry in the city /CBD area & anywhere that is RESTRICTED ZONE. U top up ur CASH CARD at any 7 ELEVEN STORES so that when u leave Spore the machine will register how much u have paid but if u have not then u have to pay to get out.

The distance is over 250 miles from KL to Spore. Best to take a coach into Spore & u pay only bus fees which is very cheap not more than US$15/= each way & best to buy return ticket by coach. The only snag is u have to get down in s'pore check point & carry all ur belongings for checking & then walk back to the bus to board & bus is waiting for passengers at the other side . Fill in ur forms for entry.

Train rides are also nice but it takes over 5hours to arrive. First class coach is very nice & a seat all to urself if u request. Bring along a pastry or sandwich if u wish & drinks can be bought in the train & tea is served too.

malaysia is the only country in the world that has affirmative action for the majority race, and they practice institutionalized racism. non-malays and non-muslims are discriminated against, its like apartheid-light. boycott them! dont give them support with your trip. i left that freaking place and if i can help it, i'll never go back!
