So the Democrats were supposed to come out with a "plan" in 2005. Then they said "2006." Now Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi said they will have a "Unified Democratic Plan" in September.

Can you explain to me the "plan"? Is this "plan" just more rhetoric, is it rewording of Republican "plans", or is it just a bulleted list of problems in the US? What is the point of this 'Plan'???

Now, don't you think you should vote Democratic across the board in November?

My friend, you have cut right to the heart of the matter. The reason that the Democrats are in so much trouble, and have been since 2000, is exactly that - no one can tell you what their "plan" is. The person who came closest to putting one together was Howard Dean, but even he got wrapped up in just being angry and critical without offering any alternatives. If that party is going to survive, they had better come up with something good, and fast. Anyone can criticize the Republicans, and there's loads of opportunities to do it and do it well. What American people desperately want (or at least this American) is someone who has a plan, and can communicate it. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000 because I didn't like his plans, and thought that "no plan" - essentially the Gore campaign platform was better than that. After September 11th, thank goodness there was a plan and we have been following it, even if it has not gone well at times. I voted for Bush in 2004 based on the war on terror, period. Kerry didn't have anything to offer that was better, at all. On Domestic issues, it's the same problem. They're not offering anything.

I am anxious to see what the plan is, and I hope they're figured something out, or it's going to be a messy and stupid election year.

I as a liberal, I have to admit that I do not have a nifty little plan like the current Republican plan:

1. Lets see, first starve the federal government to death by
spending trillions more than you tax.

2. Invade Iraq to stop an imminent threat to America. (Opps!)

3. Put the interest of Israel above the interests of the United States.

4. Create and implement a domestic policy based on enriching the rich and impoverishing the poor.

Ho, I get it. You are comparing the seeming lack of a Democratic plan as apposed to the neocon's plan for constant war and Rove's character assassinations. Plus, the master planner of them all, Bush does instant think and brags about it!

Yeah, you neocon's have it all figured out OK!

You're distinguishing between Democrats and Republican's like there's a difference. Their all professional politicians. It's shirts vs. skins, but they're all playing the same game. Watching politics today is like watching two bullies fight over the right to kick your butt. Whoever wins, you lose.

The problem with any "plan" that gets proposed now, is it will have to change. Nothing is static in today's world. How to go about repairing the damage that our foolish president has caused depends greatly on how much more damage he does, and what type. The Republicans are going to need a plan to repair this damage too. Staying the course has obviously failed.

Please know that the worst thing he's done to this country is dividing it down the middle by our interests. We are all America, and turning us against ourselves is a dangerous game to play, with nothing to win but political gain and money on the line; none of it for us.

The WE refers back to the only TRUINE GOD. One in 3, the U. S. is that ONE. An egg is catagorized as an EGG (singular) yet that's made up of three factors- shell, yolk and white. "And with out controversy large is the secret of godliness: God became take place interior the flesh, justified interior the Spirit, considered of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on interior the international, won up into glory" a million Timothy 3:sixteen John a million:a million,14 "interior the beginning up became the be conscious, and the be conscious became with God, and the be conscious became God....And the be conscious became made flesh, and dwelt between us, (and we beheld his glory, the honour as of the only begotten of the father,) full of grace and fact " 2 John a million:7 "for many deceivers are entered into the international, who confess no longer that Jesus Christ is come interior the flesh. that's a deceiver and an antichrist." there isn't any genuine confusion. Have an mind-blowing day.

Politicians normally only plan for their next re-election.
Since most of them are lawyers who aren't smart enough to make money in a law practice of their own, what do you expect?
Voters would have to make an effort to get all non lawyers elected.
And don't even get me started on Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein or Barbara Boxer for that matter. As an ex Californian I am too familiar with their incompetence, with Boxer that goes back to being in the council in Marin County.
Makes me think of the old saw, that the Senate is the perfect proof that any state can find at least to idiots in their population.
California having the largest population, can dig extra deep. ;-)

the plan is to help the everyone in this country and mostly the working, sick, older, and people unable to find a job. you should get the picture here of helping the people that need the help the most and as many of us know the media will not get behind a plan like this or even inform the public correctly about this plan. lets face it the media wants the gop in control and why this is i can only have my opinion.

Looks like to me that Mr. Banana spelled out a plan and no one seems to have a good argument.

Get ready to crawl back into your holes this November.

There is no Republican plan other than make money.

There is no Democratic plan either.

Blame Bush for everything.
And try to do in a rhyme form, that will fit on a bumper sticker.
