20 years ago, my Dad liked George Strait.
I think Garth appeals to the younger, more active country crowd, while George is liked more by the older, mellower country fans.

George Strait - "Oceanfront Property", sit back & enjoy a nice cold beer.

Garth Brooks - "Rodeo", get up and get rowdy.

Garth is very, very cool. George Strait has been around longer, and appeals to the entire country western public, so he generally is picked first. But I'll go to Garth over George anytime.

Oh yeah right! Definitely Garth Brooks! He has so many hits, and I don't think I could name a George Straight song if my life depended on it!

**but then again, I don't really listen to country, so maybe I'm not a fair judge

King George, of course! I like Garth Brooks too, but its hard to beat George Strait. I would LOVE to go to one of his concerts.
