well...they give us email accounts free so....it's a give and take.

In a way I guess we are. Perhaps we are paid on a barter system.

Don't people get something out of answering these questions?

For me, this is an intellectual outlet. This is a safe environment where I can experiment with how my peers relate to my point of view.

Also, It is interesting to see what other perspectives my peers have about issues that intrigue me.

I don't think so....... it's just a more complex web forum about everything. I think it's pretty cool. If you have a question, then ask and if you have an answer to a question, then answer. It feels like Open Source........

Not at all!! No one has to participate on this site if they choose not to, and one can participate to the extent he/she chooses. Stop complaining and come up with some good questions and answers!!

yeah we pretty much are, but noone forces us to answer questions, they just offer a completely useless point system because people will want to participate if they think its a competition.
