One time, my brother was sitting in our dining room on the computer and someone walked past him. he looked up and saw out neighbour, who had casually squeezed through the gap in the end of the fence, walked through the garden and kitchen and into the dining room. When met by my brother's startled expression she said in way of explanation "I'm locked out, I'll just sit in the living room and wait for Denise (her daughter) to get home." Oh yeah alright then mate....
This isn't the only time she has trespassed, and I do suspect it's always through curiosity as to what is going on in our house. She has also let herself into the garden and shouted and shouted until we came to the back door because she was loced out again, and asked if she could stay for dinner, to which we replied that we did not have enough. She is the most irritating person - 55-60 years old, living with her two adult children and their partners, and still belching in competition with my teenage brothers.
My dad spends a lot of time in his shed, and one night particularly late (or early... 3am ish), he came out and jumped out of his skin b'cso this neighbour was standing in the pitch black peering through his shed window over the fence. Nosy troll...
Likewise, I was one time whistling to myself and pouring myself a drink when I chanced to look up and see her daughter's bf standing at our window watching me. Creepy....
When we moved in they had plenty of gossip about the previous occupants of our property. Needless to say we have an ongoing joke about them holding glasses to the wall all day. And we never forget to say Gnite to them as we do our parents, knowing they'll be listening through the walls.
So yeah, I guess we hate them.
And no, knowing that does not make me a nosy neighbour as they have persistently intruded on my space in order for me to have gained this knowledge.

We don't have particularly nosey neighbours, in fact we're moving soon and I doubt they'll notice! In general nosy neighbours can probably be annoying most of the time but probably a good thing if you're away because they'll know if someone is breaking into your house!
The worst thing about my neighbours is their daughter bounces a basketball all day everyday outside on hard ground and it echoes around the walls, so annoying!

I stay in Zone 4, Sioux Falls, SD: Lilac. it is going to take an entire 12 months for an effectiveness. The lilac tree ought to correctly be 6-8 feet tall and width of four-5 feet. The Persian Lilac has pinkest lavender huge blooms and characteristic a significantly better heady scent than the mandatory lavender lilac. After tree complete blooming, decrease off blooms and it is going to rebloom in the autumn. you'll mow lower than branches even if that is done, eye-catching and aromatic without being trashy with seeds, pods, needles, and so on.. dropping. I used a row of them on aspect of my homestead because of nosy friends.

I have an elderly neighbor that lives across the street. She doesn't like us much. My husband has his lunch break at 3:30 in the morning and comes home in his big, noisy, rattling truck.
She peeks her nose out her curtains when I'm out on the porch or anytime someone pulls up. She has garage sales and her customers take up all my parking. Grrrr.
Thursday morning I woke up and answered my phone. Paced around the living room in my T shirt and underwear. After about the third time of walking past my picture window I looked up and realized my curtain was open. I see a man just standing there staring at me from across the street... a few others standing behind him just gawking. Guess who was having yet again... another garage sale? She looked pissed. hehehe
Neighbors... you don't have to love them... just tolerate them.

Just call me Mrs. Kravitz. I'm a nosey body. This is why I love Yahoo Answers so much. It kind of satisfies that busy body nature of mine -- it's a heathier outlet than always peeking out my window at my neighbors.

Love them first, and if it disturbs you very much, tell them nicely and your difficulties, till they continue then you show your dislike that also in a good manner, I think most people will obey, if it is impossible try to go along with the situation or change the place.

Detest them !!! ..........
What on earth leads them to believe that I or any of the people living near to them wish to listen to their music, television, squalling brats and arguments etc ...
Now of course being the worst time of year with windows needfully open wide ...
So those guilty parties reading this;
............... BE MORE CONSIDERATE .............
I would end with a Thank You but I doubt that there will ever
be any change to these ignorant ( rude words ) behaviour...
