You don't have to. That's just it. Others will make you believe you do, but they are wrong. If everyone thought the same way, we would have very boring lives. It is your God given and Constitutional right to speak up and disagree. Don't let them fool you. I'm sure you'll be criticized for this and called names, but that just shows their mentality. I've asked a question like this before and got a lot of "Deal with it" answers. It's bull.

I agree. Criticize all you want - you have the right and d*mn well should if you don't like it. Having said that: this President, more than any other, has been maligned in so many ways since taking office. Presidents will be "scapegoats" but this is out of control. The rhetoric - that he is a Nazi, a Hitler, a chimp, I mean, it is insulting to those who suffered in the Holocaust, to those who support him (right or wrong), and to our culture as Americans. We debate, right? Why is it now insults? Could it be lack of debating ability, lack of education, or maybe the inability to stand for ones convictions? Maybe everyone is just tired of arguing and an insult is easy - I don't know.
There seems to be a movement to the right going on in this country. Our history, political, sways back and forth over time. When a party loses power today the hate speech hits the high notes and it's VERY destructive to our system. I know that Clinton got A LOT of crap - especially from the Talk radio pundits, but the Bush rhetoric is coming from what most consider mainstream journalists. They are supposed to be unbiased - but it's apparent that is not the case. Hating Bush has become a religion with even moderates. I think it's disgraceful regardless of which party you support.

Love that quote. And we don't have to stand by the president. That's why he has an approval rating in the mid thirties. Apparently, about 3/4 of the country doesnt support this chimp we have for president.

You have the rights not to.. and as for this president.. i do not see why would people still stand by him.. good people i mean.
For those who arent war mongers, civilized and ethical people who are peace loving, educated as well as aware of what is happening around the globe and the humanitarian crisis that is being caused directly and indirectly by the current president, i do not see why these people should support what he does.
To stand by the president even when he is wrong and not criticise him for what is wrong is only going to encourage him to continue such atrocities. Patriots, responsible citizens and for those who cares for what is good in this world and to those who fights to preserve the dignity of this country in the eyes of the world, should do whatever it takes.. even if it means to criticise the president for what they believe is wrong.

I think it is fine to criticize the president and not agree with what he does and/or stands for. There are many things he is doing that I do not agree with myself. However, I think we as a nation need to remember to respect the position and not just trash talk.

We don't have to support him. And we ARE alowed to speak out against him. THAT is written in the Constitution and is one of the many reasons why the United States was founded. If anyone tells you that you have to agree with the President or face criminal prosecution they are blowing hot air.

No, there is no more patriotic thing to do that to question your government if something's off. Remember the gov't work for US, we TELL it what to do,not the other way around. This Chimp Admin. has been doing whatever the fck it wants, and it has GOT to stop and make them all pay for their abuse of power and disregard for the US Constitution!

who says we have to agree with the president? That's what makes America beautiful. We can say anything we want and are free to think and voice anything we wish. And by the way, only 37% of us agree with him...according to the polls.
