When are people going to chill out and just live?, why are people still fighting over religion?, NO ONE ON EARTH RIGHT NOW HAS ANY SUBSTANTIAL PROOF THAT ONE WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY, as soon as everyone on the globe realizes this we will all be in better shape.
The U.S needs to stay out of this.

It's not a holy war. There is nothing holy about any war.
In 1948, after the second world war, the Jews took back the land that had been stolen from them. The problem is that the people who were there had been there for 30-40 generations and they were not in fact the ones who had stolen the land - they worked and toiled for all of their lives and were their - in their eyes - by right.
When their land was taken away from them, as you can imagine, they were pissed off and have been fighting back ever since. They do not accept to be pushed back into settlements.
Imagine if you will a similar situation. We north americans have been here for about 500 years or so. Our ancestors slaughtered 90-95% of the Aboriginal (Indians) population who had been here for thousands of years, stole all of their land and put them into reservations.
What if all of a sudden, there was an uprising and the Aboriginals decided to take back the land and kick us out, split us up, put us on little portions of land and corners where we could not make our lives the way we have been doing. I for one would be VERY pissed off - I am not the one who took the land from them and I bought my land in good faith, so I'm sure that a long, tedious war would ensue.
I'm not saying any one side of the conflict is right, but it's good to take a step back and see the reason - and the emotion - behind all of it.
