It is not really an issue of Israel vs Lebanon...Israel is fighting Hezbollah which is a guerilla style militant group that happen to be stationed in Lebanon. Hezbollah has been an enemyt of Israel and Peace fro along time now... Do i think war solves terrorism? probably not in the long run.... do I think Israel should protect herself? Yes. i also think that Lebanon has a right to protect itself from its internal militants as well as any external force, ie Israel in this case. bottom line fighting violence with violence only results in death of innocence and destruction. Thats my take, in a nutshell.

I'm guess if Lebanon would have not kidnapped the pilots this whole thing coulda been avoided.
But I'm not pleased with Israel showing off because they have the USA as a "bodyguard".

The fight isn't against LEBANON, it's against HEZBOLLAH!
Don't you follow the news? The Lebanese didn't KIDNAP THE SOLDIERS HEZBOLLAH DID.
Hezbollah are not the LEBANESE MILITARY! They are a militant ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALIST GROUP LIKE AL QAIDA AND HAMAS OPERATING IN LEBANON.

The fight isn't against LEBANON, it's against HEZBOLLAH!
And ISRAEL IS RIGHT!
Hezbollah kidnapped soldiers, they killed a couple also.
That's when Israel said enuf is enuf, no trade of our 2 soldiers for Hamas/Palestineans in captivity. And they started bombing to get their soldiers back.
Hezbollah, came OVER the Israeli border and KIDNAPPED the soldiers. LEBANON and ISRAEL were living in PEACE AND PROSPERITY.
HEZBOLLAH IS THE CAUSE OF THIS CONFLICT!
READ THE PHREKIN' NEWS!
STOP LISTENING TO THE HEAR-SAY!

neither one. that region has been the hotbed of trouble for years and this is another example. if it werent for the oil, we should let them fight it out and whoever's left standing wins all that rich fertile piece of ground, along with the olive trees, the camels and the sand
