Funny you should ask. A number of years ago I took a friend of a friend for an appointment...so I knew him...but not real well. He was a big, burly man...with a heart of gold. We got stuck in traffic, and some idiot behind us, laid on his horn as though we could go anywhere. He kept it up for almost five minutes of ear-screeching agony. My friend never said a word; calmly got out of the car, walked over to the other man's car, unlatched the hood of his car and disconnected his horn while the man cowered in his car with the windows rolled up and the doors locked. My friend gave him an universal gesture; and then calmly got back in the car and said, "We can go now." I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen!
