I would have to agree to an extent.... For example, I was trying to add 2 numbers in my head, and my dad figured it out before I could even grab my calculator. I think that today's technology figures out everything for us, instead of making us use our minds and some good ol' common sense. I have become so reliant on calculators that I can barely add 2 and 2 in my head. Can you believe I made it through high school without a cell phone??? (graduated 1995). People don't seem to have the problem-solving skills like they used to. Now they rely on technology to give them directions instead of having to read a map, or heaven forbid, ask someone for directions face to face. however, it does take some smarts to learn how to work all of this stuff, and to invent it for that matter.

Everything has two sides, i.e. Advantages & Disadvantages, here in context to your question on Technology. V have Electrical Appliances to help us make life easier, but what happens when power goes off ? & there are many more such examples. It's not that V get stupid, V must strive for more technological advancement to find alternative where ever & when ever V get stuck up. It's upto us how best V make use of the technology, innovations & our discoveries.

Yes. How many people today even know what a solstice or equinox is? Some people don't even know the four directions. If our technological society crumbles, a lot of people will be helpless to help themselves.

in this sense includes technical methods, skills, processes, techniques, tools and raw materials (for example, in such uses as computer technology, construction technology, or medical technology). Technology is human's tool to meet such basic needs as hunger, and to fulfill a desire for a "higher order" of life, and "better living conditions."

Well, technology without wisdom is a technocricy.... Kind of like Nazi germany, or our own big brother that were brewing with the over surveillancing and over policing...
