My tale of affection is nothing to do with material items - jewellery, cars, money, roses.

My boyfriend works close to where I live, so after work he usually comes to see me and my family. I'll cook for us both and we'll either chill out in my room or watch the television together. We're not all over each other every second, but we'll just sit and hold hands or snuggle up under a blanket. We dont get a lot of time alone where we can have sex so this has become a second intimacy state for us. Under this blanket its our own world and its so lovely. One time, I was going through a rough patch with my parents - I felt I was being yelled at for no apparent reason, and I think they were just venting a little bit of steam about everything at me. My boyfriend meanwhile was in the other room, but I knew he was listening to everything that my parents were saying and I felt so embarassed that he had to sit there and be subjected to it. Eventually they stopped and I couldnt go back into the room with him. I just felt so ashamed of myself and my family, so I went upstairs to the bathroom to clean myself up and make it seem as if I hadnt been crying. As soon as I got on my own I sat on the floor of my bathroom and cried. I must have been up there for about 30 minutes maybe longer, when this little tap on the door and this little head popped round the door. He didnt say anything to me, just wrapped the blanket he'd dragged from downstairs round me and him and we sat on the bathroom floor and he cried with me. He said he understood what I was going through, and that if he could he'd change places with me so I would never have to feel that kind of emotional pain.

The sweetest thing he's ever done for me is be there when i'm at my most vulnerable, love isnt about gifts at all.

In college my first serious boyfriend went to school 14 hours away from me. He used to drive 14 hours friday after class to see me and then go back for class on monday. I thought that was sweet until Sweetest Day I got a package in the mail. I opened it and it was a tape. My boyfriend was a radio dj on campus and had dedicated his entire show to me and played all our favorite songs-one particular I remember was Aerosmith's Angel. It may not have been anything expensive but it was by far the best gift I have ever received from any boyfriend.

On Valentines Day this year I went to my dorm mailbox and they said I had a package. So I went up to the front desk and there was a Jones soda love potion box with two Jones soda a CD and chap stick the same flavor as the pop. Sticking in the box was a note that said this boy knew I had a boyfriend but he was so much in love with me by this time I realized it was my boyfriend because of his hand-writing. So anyway he said he was from Jamaica and is name was Geffrey sounded more like Goffrey. So I get this phone call and it my boyfriend but with a Jamaican accent so by this time I'm like I'll just go along with it. So he said to come to his dorm room he had a surprise. So I go to his room and he had mad julep rice which is a spicy Jamaican dish with chicken and rice. He also had made fried plantains. Oh and when I see him he has a red t-shirt and black shorts with one of the hat with the dread locks. It was so cute and special. But that wasn't the first surprise dinner he's done he also made me an mussel pasta dish and he acted like he was my waiter and date so that was kind of funny too. My boyfriend thinks of some really sweet and romantic things to do I love him so much.

I was working 60 + hours per week, going on my 3rd month & I was exhausted. I got a call late Sat night & had to fill in on Sunday. He had planned to let me sleep in & take me to Starbucks for brunch. With the change in plans I expected to spend another long shift caring for people. But when I got in my car at 5 AM there were 2 dozen yellow roses (my fav) on the front seat & the sweetest card I've ever gotten on my steering wheel, with a 3 page "love letter" in it. He had gotten up in the middle of the night to get everything & set up in my car while I slept. Later in the day he stopped by work & brought me a vente' double choc chip frappacino from Starbucks. Couldn't ask for more!

I met my bf online he's 37 and i am 23...when i was in south africa hes american. we met for the first time in Swizerland. He paid for everything. After that he took me to costa rica again he paid for everthing, He even send me money when i did not even needed it. He called me every single day and we will talk about all kinds of stuff for hours and hours. It went on for a year. Then he wanted me to move to USA to live with him again he paid for everyting.I never been so happy in my life. We are married now and planning having a family soon.
Long distance realtionship do work only if u blieve and make the efford to commit.

well, for xmas i asked for a ring from tiffany's. i never wear jewerly and it was a cute little iron ring plated in sliver. cheap too, like only $125 so i asked for it. and he got it for me. i was so excited that i put it on and wore it all day. about 5 hours later i noticed it was turning my finger green. i figured i would put some clear nail polish on when i got home and that would be that. well i fell asleep with it on and by the next morning it had RUSTED where it touched between my two fingers. i was so upset that i went back to get a new one and the lady had the nerve to tell me it was "supposed" to do that. so i gave it back so he could get his money back. well, he decided that he was taking me to Las Vegas instead since the ring was a bust. i was so excited. it was so sweet. all he wanted was to make my xmas nice. he always tries so hard.

Took me on a weekend getaway, got the romance package at the Hilton Hotel which included roses, champagne & chocolates. Ordered breakfast in bed & we made love most of the time that we were there.

Me and my ex boyfriend were living together and we were fighting all afternoon. He decided to go to the bedroom and shut the door. I left him alone to have his time to calm down. I was afraid that I wasn't going to hear from him for the rest of the night. He came back out about 1hr later and told me he wanted to talk to me. He walked back toward the bedroom and stood infront of the bedroom door waiting for me. He opened the bedroom door and he had red sheets on the bed, the lights were off, candles all over the bedroom with incense burning, and rose petals all over the bed and he was playing our song on the stereo. I started to cry over this and was so shocked!

He poured every drink, lit every cigarette, carried anything and everything for me, held me all night long and opened every door for me. It was sweet too (I am not a gold-digger, but had a little money at the time and he was very aware of that) that he crammed money into my pockets before we parted. A month later I moved here with him - God help us, we met online, lol!
He also bough chocolate and pepsi max (my all time favourite drink) and best of all, he respected my wishes not to sleep together (I initiated it near the end, but he was perfectly happy waiting)

i like this question when i was a little younger the bell ringed to go to class but that day he was sick so he had to stay home the day before he got sick he had bought me a gift and as i was walkin in class i say him run up to me he was breathing really hard and i said are you ok he said yes but i ran all the way to school to give you this gift i bought for you and it waspurfume the bottle was heart shaped and it was so nice and the purfume smelled so good then he gave me a kiss on the cheeck then he went bak home thta hole day i couldnt stop thinkin bout him
