If you crush some rocks and there is some small flakes of gold in the mixture.is there a liquid that when mixed with this, will change color to show that gold is present

No liquid that I know of, but go to a store that sells home building materials and buy you a sheet of unglazed porcelin. When gold is rubbed across it, it will leave yellow streaks behind. Geologists call this a "Streak Plate", and use it to help them identify minerals.

Good for telling gold apart from it's look-alikes. Pyrite (also known as Fool's Gold) will leave green marks on a streak plate. A dead giveaway.

Chocolate brown for your hair sounds ace! I think that your should have your hair cut just a bit longer than shoulder length. It would look so cute. Also, with your make up, draw attention to your eyes and lips as this will keep it away for your nose (no offense intended). Try using mascara, eye liner, lip gloss etc. If i were you i wouldn't tell anyone from your school that your going to change your look as then it will have more of an impact. Hope this helps.

You need to do an acid test. You would need to scratch the gold you found on a slate and then apply acid. If the gold dissolves, it isn't gold.

sodium cyanide but it separates the gold from raw ore if the gold is present..i dont know about color changing

try vinegar if you will soak gold and the color of gold changes then the vinegar is fake
