No. There is a difference between trying to spread the faith and trying to smite the heathens. If God really loved all of his creations, do you think he would want to see any of them dead? I don't know about other religions, but I believe in unconditional love and forgiveness. No one deserves to die in the name of someone else's faith. People should respect each other's beliefs.

No, but people have been doing it for ages. The Crusades- let's spread the word of Christianity by...killing everyone who doesn't like it! Good idea, guys. I personally don't think that killing is ever justifiable no matter the cause, but saying that you're "killing in God's name" is the ultimate cop-out, and for some reason it seems to be an acceptable cause to a startlingly vast amount of people. Let's just be honest about what's really going on- people kill to futher their cause and get what they want, not to pursue righteousness- then they just blame it on God because at least people can say "oh, that's a shame- he was such a religious guy." Can those who are religious not be bad people? Better yet, can so-called Christians not do evil? Um, what about people who bomb abortion clinics and kill dozens or sometimes even hundreds of innocent people because they say that what those doctors do is against God's will, completely turning a blind eye to the fact that THOU SHALT NOT KILL is one of the friggin' commandments. When it comes down to it, religion for most is merely a guideline for the way one is supposed to live his or her life, a suggestion of sorts. However, when it comes to something that a person doesn't like or agree with, they pull religion into it, rendering it some kind of immovable iron fist. It would be really great if people would take a step back and look at themselves and see what they've done to their religions- in the mass frenzy to out do another sect or religion, it seems that most have forgotten the very fundamentals upon which their faith is based. If Christians / Muslims / Jews would pay attention to the basics more often, I think the world would be a much better place.

No he does not. God is love and has always been and will always. Man through his own apostacy brings sin upon his own head and if someone says "why do so many innocent have to die then? why the good ones"? Well then think of this, the good ones have a better chance of getting into heaven in the first place, the sinners, all of us, or the bad ones are still being given time to repent. God is love, he does not take sides, neither does he want anyone to kill in his name, theres no justification for that cause God is peace. The human race is its own worst enemy.

Of course not, but he does not appreciate that his nick names are not acknowledged to be owned by the one and the same by some.
By the way, he also doesn't care whether you commit a suicide bombing, or shoot a rocket from an apache.. on civilian targets (over 600 already in Lebanon)... the end result is the same, dead innocent civillians (though less innocent if they put their governments in seat, democratically, who commit these things on their behalf).
I am an atheist, but I absolutely do not support the claim that "If everyone just became athiest, there wouldn't be war" ..
Atheism can be just as dogmatic and ignorant.
Wars are caused more often than not, by power, political and eocnomic interests.. not religion.. religion is only used as a means to motivate the people on the bottom of the scale.. they comfort themselves with religious selfrighteousness, while others do it with national pride. Some believe they will go to heaven for it, while others believe they will become national heroes. It's really not all that different wether it's religion or nationalism/patriotism ... whether you do it for your god or your nation, if your support is unconditional, it is wrong by definition..
I'll repeat, political and/or economic interests and power are the real reasons for most wars, religion is used used as a means, not a cause, to recruit and motivate the simple fighters on the bottom of the chain.. but on top, decisions are primarily made for economic and political reasons..
And because people with limited means, have to rely on their God because they can not rely on their weapons only due to an imbalance of power, does not mean that that religion is the REASON for them fighting.. a very common mistake made, and intentionally presented as such by western media.. knowing religious fanatism of an already rejected religion, will not be met with much compassion.. but that's sheer manipulation, as religion is NOT their reason for fighting, no more than it is Israels reason for claiming that land in the first place anyway..

No. Not at all. First off, I think that he planned all these different types of religion. For example, in the middle east, the old religious customs were constant worship and total obidience to their God, I think that they are just worshipping their God in a way that suits their culture. Those that kill in the name of God are brainwashed. From birth, they are told that that is what God wants. I know it sounds crazy, but they don't know any better.

Damn straight God takes sides! It says so right in the bible. And when He feels like it, He personally wipes out huge bunches of people that particularly are annoying.
(1 Samuel 6:19) "And He smote the men of Bethsemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even He smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with great slaughter."
The Bible says the LORD causes the lamenting of the sinners all the time. That is generousity, from the LORD.
(Luke 12:5) Jesus said, "But I will forewarn you Whom ye shall fear: Fear Him, which after He hath killed hath power to cast into Hell; I say unto you, fear Him."
THAT'S what the LORD does! Hallelujah!

Of course not, God loves us because we believe in Him. Not because you go kill 3 people who don't think of religion the same way you do.
That is something people would not understand God, Allah, and however you want to call him is one Divine creature and is the same one.

There is no proof that there is a God. If everyone just became athiest, there wouldn't be war. I believe religion is proof that mankind is still not completely civilized.
