Vegas is getting away from the kid stuff. Excalibur or Circus Circus is about it. kids are never allowed in the casino and you have to go through most casinos to get to rooms and attractions. they do have very good museums (Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, Guggenhiem and Hermitage at the Venetian) Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay NYNY has a great midway for kids and a great coaster.

Circus Circus in Las Vegas is VERY kid friendly; They have a 5 acre Adventure Zone that's on an elevated area behind the hotel; probably geared to kinds 5-17; rides, rock climbing, mini golf, bumper cars, arcades...for something like $22.95 for all day! Hire a sitter and have them take the kids for 1/2 the day while you adults go have your fun! I think the hotel is around $57.00 per night and isn't the most extravagant/luxurious, but hey, you're only going to be sleeping in your rooms!
