The government protects all of their employees against suits even for the very worst cases of injustice done to regular citizen.
This includes cops shooting unarmed kids in the back (happened here in Colorado Springs a few years ago), prosecutors that get death sentences for the wrong people, and judges that f**k over people, just because they can.
You do the math....
Unfortunately with a lot of this type happening we aren't all that far from where the Soviet Union was, which we abhorred so much. When are we (the voting public) going to clean house at home and stop all that?

No, your anger is understandable, but misplaced.
This attitude fundamentally misunderstands the role of the United States government. This perception that the federal government is an all-power machine able to solve everyone of our nation's problems doesn't work in reality. They are trying to balance to population's need against the expense of actually taking action.
In the case of immigration, it is an undesirable choice for the US to cut off illegal immigration. Our economy is dependent on immigrant labor, and there are not enough legal immigrants. What might appear like neglect, is an essential choice by our government, albeit with some negative consequences.
Perfection is an unreasonable goal, and tragic events occur. But that is not an act that the US committed or could have reasonable prevented.

The problem really isn't the US. It's Mexico. If you recall, they released a brochure regarding how to get into the country. Not to mention, sueing the the United States would be financial suicide, even if you're Bill Gates.

All you can do is see that the rapest and murderer is prosecuted.
Then you write your congressman and senators and let them know that they are out. Because they won't take a stand you will not vote them in. Use your freedom of speech right and contact major news papers voicing your opinion.
If you sue, I can guarantee you will be out money and nothing will be resolved. Hit them where it really hurts- take it to the voters.

No they can't. Furthermore we're stuck with absolutely nothing if we are injured or killed in a car accident by one of them. You know they don't have insurance. The plain truth is Nothing would be done and the news would fail to report it or at best mention maybe a sentence about it, but not refer to the incident at perpetrated by an illegal alien.

The US is doing all they can to control the border problem. But it's sort of like trying to get rid of cockroaches, you can't always tell where they are coming in from when your dealing with such a big space.

No that would be considered a frivulous law suit. However you could still give it a shot. I know of a black man who sued the US Goveernement for a trip to Africa because His ancestors were sold into slavery. So if he could win you may stand a chance
