When I was baby siting (about 10years ago) the going rate was $1 per hour per kid. But I found that if I just asked them to pay what they thought was an appropriate amount, I made more.
How much time do you have to raise the $5,000? The better babysitter you are the more offers you will get. Try finding games and activities fit for the ages you are watching. Try teaching them things, like how to count in another language, working on the ABC and words that start with each letter of the alphabet, etc. kind of like a day care. Parents want to know that you are taking care of their kids, not just sitting on the phone or hanging out with your friends.
If you are trying to raise the money a little quicker, like for a trip, host a date night for parents. Recruit some friends to help (for free). sent out a flyer to your usual families you work for and maybe in your neighborhood. Include the date and time range (at least 4 hours for the parents to get dinner and a movie), why you are raising the money, activities that you have planned for the kids, contact info etc. have them RSVP so you know how many to expect and how much help you need. The amount you raise will depend on the number of kids you have and how much you get paid.
Hope this helps

5,000 is going to take a heck of a long time to earn. You'll be babysitting for years.
When I babysat, I'd make about 80 a week with one family or 8/hr with another family.

I used to babysit for a couple who had two small children (aged 5 and 7) They paid me @ $6/hour. My best day was when both parents had to work and the kids were invited to a birthday party. They gave me $50 for spending and they told me to use one of their vehicles so that I didn't waste my gas. We went to McDonald's ($12) and the party was free at a bowling alley. I bought them drinks and a few arcade games and had money left. I assumed that would be my pay, but they let me keep the change and paid me another $50 for the day. For just a few hours, that was a great day!

I'm not a teenager, but I do babysit some. I've always charged $10/hr for 1 kid and $12/hr for 2.

ok, so am i able to spank your daughter? 1st of all, call it self-discipline. WHAT THE FK is a 60 12 months previous MANNNNNN toddler sitting ur 16 12 months previous daughter? there's a lot incorrect with this photo. She is sufficiently previous to video reveal herself. second he's a MANNNNN, a neighbor, no longer even relations. it is a stupid mistake on your area. and if u are merely sorting out that she is getting slapped round with suggestions from Mr. Hill then u can merely imagine each and every thing else u dont recognize. yet pay interest, why is everyone in ur relations spanking your daughter? thats no longer cool. you choose to GET SMACKED.
