Unless your husband wants to - he can help with the bathing or spongbath, he can help make formula if you're not breastfeeding, he can watch the baby while you do some things you need to do, he can do a lot of things with you and the baby but only if he wants to. But I think he should whether he wants to or not - that's part of parenting and parenting has 2 parts - a mom and a dad.

Take a day and head to the Edgefield in Troutdale. Have a massage, dinner and drinks, go for a walk in the garden and listen to some nice music as the evening comes to a close. Celebrate each other and the time you have together.

Once the baby is like 8 months take the family to the Oregon zoo. When the baby can walk take him to OMSI!
