I think some file got corrupted or something and now I get a ton of will you except this certificate warnings while I surf; even though I have reset the option to auto select one several times and have even un-installed and re-installed the browser, is there a file I can delete that will rebuild itself with all the defaults or something like that, it is getting very annoying.

Thx for any help,

John B.

When you uninstall the browser you have to remove the profile as well for a clean un-installation.

profile location in Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\--your name--\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\--random numbers--.default

Delete the entire Firefox folder in the Mozilla directory to remove the Firefox profiles.

When you reinstall and run Firefox, a new profile with all the default settings would have been created.

Because I don't know exactly what is your problem a simple advice
unistall mozilla firefox delete the folder Mozilla firefox in Program Files.
Also delete the folder -C:\\Documents and Settings \Your name\application data\ Mozilla> Firefox -(if windows it installed on C if not replace this letter with the lleter of your location )
But before this make a copy of this folder in another location
After this install again firefox
Customize it again -eventually import the the bookmarks from the file bookmarks.HTML in the folder that you created early ( Your folder>firefox >profiles>bookmarks.html)
Download again your themes and extensions but before you install them do a right click and choose save as Keep it in a sure folder
Download an extension called Mr's teach local Install
in the future this extension will permitted you to install all the extension that you saved locally in your folder
After all this work when FF look as you like search a program called backup It is free Do a back -up of your settings
In the future when you have problems run this programs and restore your settings
Naturally when you update FF make another back-up for have the updated version
Good luck

With Firefox open do the following:
1) Click on the 'Tools' menu, then select 'Options' from the list.
2) Select the 'Privacy' tab.
3) Click the [Clear All] button to reset the browser back to default.
4) Click the [OK] button to close the options window.

The only thing i can think of is to uninstall it, then go through your program files and delete anything thats left of firefox. Then re-install it again.
