A-rod is the highest paid player, but I am not entirely sure how much he is making. His deal was for AN AVERAGE of $25 mill per year. Over the course of the contract the amounts chnage.
Last year he made $26 mill. My guess is he is making either the same or a little more this season.
Either way, he is the highest paid player.

Jose Guillen is the highest paid Royals player @ $13 mil/year. BQ: I would have rather had him stay in Dallas. It's just a lot easier for the media circus that way and it'd prevent him from tearing apart another locker room.
