the average guinea pig lives about 5-7 years but it is possible for then to live over the adverage year... i should know i've had 3 guinea pigs of my own and all of them lived a little over the average year for a guinea pig.

Four to six years usually, but for some reason, the two golden agouties I have had both died at 3. Don't let this put you off them though because I find the goldies have the best personalities.
I have a silver agouti at 5, and 2 "bitsa's" (unknowns) at 3.

i believe it is 8 years, although i have heard stories of piggies livinig as old as 10...
from personal experience however, i have not had a guinea live any longer than 3. I just to breed them when i bred rabbits,
