Is he too old. Does he take steroids? Do you think he can lead the Giants to the playoffs? Do you think he should retire?

one of the best baseball players ever regardless of the entire steroid scandal. For those of you who think he is a fraud, the ENTIRE MLB did it, he's not the only one, stop chastisting him while the entire league did it. He is no longer a franchise player, and yes, he should retire, b/c I do not believe his swing is quick enough on a consistent basis for him to break Hank Aaron's record. He will go down as the best player to ever play the game...although the steroid issue definitely tarnishes it.

Barry Bonds was a great player before all of the steroids talk. I think he is too old and this will be his last season. Well he doesn't take them anymore, but he definitely did. There is no way in hell that he should be that big. Everyone has seen pictures of him when he first started, he was a twig. Plus there are too many people outside of baseball that are saying he took them, why the hell would they lie about that crap. Nope, he can't lead them to the playoffs because he is not their best player right now. Yes he should retire after the Giants miss the playoffs.

I get tired of hearing about him all of the time. There is more to baseball than Barry Bonds. I think he is guilty of all he has been accused of and has managed to get by with it. I think he needs to retire and I do think he takes steroids. It takes more than just Barry Bonds to take the Giants to the playoffs. He isn't the only player on team.

I think he's a P.O.S. person that took steroids and cheats the game of baseball. No he can't lead the Giants to the playoffs, yes I think he should retire but he said that he was coming back next year so I guess not.

People from the Bay Area hate/love him. People out of the Bay Area HATE him. I really don't feel anything towards the guy. I've heard both sides and I really don't care anymore. All I can say is the Giants suck, they'll never win a world series ring with the management and team they have and seriously, the A's are a way better team than the Giants ever will be even if there in a whole different league.

He's a self-centered arrogant jerk who has no care for the game of baseball, only his own personal fame and wealth and will do whatever it takes to gain both. Bonds would have been a hall of famer without steroids, the only reason he took them was to be the "best ever".

I hope when the truth comes out all the Bonds supporters can cough out the foot that's in their mouths.

I am not going to be mean when i say this...but he's a cheater. Next year he says he plans to play even though he has horrible knees, I think that division is really whoever gets hot right now. I think he should retire even though he wont because he wants to go for Hammerin Hank's record next year, maybe for Oakland. He does not take steroids anymore BC they tested him...but he could've before, right now we're waiting to see if they indict him on perjury and tax evasion...he could face big jail time if he's convicted

in this order:

too old? no, but he's getting there.
the only person who'll really know is himself/his trainer/ and the tester.
i doubt he can lead the Giants to the playoff, but they do have some pretty good players w/o him. it's a toss up..this has been some hell of a weird season.
isn't he retiring after this season anyways?

The athletic ability Barry Bond's had at the beginning of his career are now totally deteriorated. He had a lot of natural ability, but I believe he destroyed that somehow? This should be his last year and go sit down.
