I think they are one of the most consistent teams in the NBA. They give themselves a chance every year. They will not win the championship, however, they make the BEST offseason moves, be it the draft or trades, they are the best (kudos to your general manager). Jason Kidd is a future hall-of-famer, Vince Carter has plenty of potential, but his intensity is in question, and Richard Jefferson is one of the few gems in the NBA. Kristic was a late first round pick, bet you feel really good bout that pick-up, eh? Oh, and Marcus Williams dropping into your lap? too freakin lucky....

They need to get a good big man down low. J Kidd is getting old, but still playing good basketball.
I say no, they still have teams in the East that can beat them in a 7 game series ie Heat, Pistons, possibly the Bulls. If they get a good 4 or 5 guy then we'll talk.

I love VC but i still hate the nets because i cant forgive the for beating my C's in the 02 east finals. and no they're going nowhere as long as they got kristic instead of a normal center

Hell Yea the best team in the leauge The fantastic four in JK VC RJ KRSTIC......Marcus is going to be solid wen boone comes back they have a backcourt too..... i just wish mccinis will play he is goo but o well nets are still the best

Nets are in a position to be good. They need some type of backcourt. They have the offense, but no defense.

They have the great backcourt Trio (Kidd, Carter, Jefferson)
but they lack frontcourt. If they had some nice PF or Centers ....
They have great chance at next yr's NBA Champ.

The Nets are great now that they've moved to that twine rope. Back when they were polyester, balls used to get stuck too often.

dont think so .
kidd is only getting older.they cant really add marki players cause of their salary cap.
bulls r going to be good for along time in that division.
