Gerrard and Lampard

They are both top quality players at the peak of their careers. They are pretty much the smae player in terms of what they bring to their club. Both Lampard and Gerrard score goals. Both Lampard and Gerrard make lots of assists. They both inspire their teammates and they both flop when they play for England.
Gerrard is a more versitile player than Lampard as he can play in a veriety of differing positions. However Lampard is a slightly more consistant player. He plays brilliantly every week whereas Gerrard World Class in some games but averagely in others.
This is a very difficult question but I would have to say that due to his work rate in the big occasions Stevie G is fractionly better. But it's only by a tiny fraction.

Why is everyone saying Gerrard? He was qualty at his prime but has now lost it, whereas lampard is older but still has one of the hardest work rates in the premier league. Lampard is 5th highest scorer in prem ever, Gerrard is 19th, Lampard has won more trophies, Lampard has played more games, Lampard has made more assists, lampard has scored more penalties and free kicks, lampard takes better corners, gerrard may have scord more goals this season than lampard, but how many of his goals wre penalties? Liverpool get a penalty almsot every week. So overall, by quite a fair bit, Lampard is a much better player than Gerrard.

Based on their World Cup performances neither one is any great shakes but Gerrard was definitely better than Lampard. Lampard was a complete waste of space.

it's a hard choice ha ha ha
both of them have typically same play...a great mid-fielder, have a "thunder" kick (well, when they got the ball it could be a nightmare for goalkeeper...)
but when they play in the national team they had little different section...sven make gerrard more be a defender and lampard as the attacker...
however....for me Steven Gerrard still the best, he's calm but very dangerous... =)

Both of them sucks,But I think Gerrard sucks more than Lampard.

Gerrard is lethal with his kicks and drives. He has better ball control and is faster. Besides, he already captained LFC to the Champions league. He is way way better than Lampard.
