it's almost like they are working for the left! alienating their own party, and driving the democrats to show up to the polls. I can't wait!

Personally, I think Reagan's trickle down economics system worked. It simply took time, do you think that Clinton was actually responsible for all the growth in the nineties? I think the reason that people still follow the Republican party is that they don't waver much on their beliefs. The far left of the Democratic party, which is the part that gets the most press, tends to fluctuate in their stance way too much, and cannot decide where they stand. People are not drawn towards instability.

Thats right...count those chickens before we make scambled eggs.....you don't seem to understand, what you are complaining about is what makes america great....If the Liberals would let a flat tax go through, then they would not be getting tax breaks...they would pay the same amount as the rest....and by the way....check out the polling....it is beginning to look as if the Liberals may not win any seats.....and maybe even lose 1 or 2.....but it is still early....you could be right at the end of the day

Starting wages for an uneducated rough neck at Exxon is now at six figures AND they are hiring...that's a pretty good trickle.
Actually most Americans are in the middle...It was because of Clinton's sexcapades and financial "deals" that soured the middle to the right. Yes Bush's polls are low but are identical to that of the democrats. I for one, being socially Liberal and fiscally Conservative am at a lose as the DNC has no agenda to change anything...simply being "for" something is a response I'd expect from a contestant at a Miss USA pageant. And as I found from their website and the numerous emails I get from the Democratic party they have yet to create a platform. ie health care...currently they support health care for those on welfare ONLY...and have NO plan to reform the system as it stands (and why should they as HMOs are a huge contributions to their party).
Americans are being pushed to the middle...by the corruption in BOTH parties.

Keeping the answer as honest as possible (without the nutcase name -calling) I would have to say that Dick and George have done great damage to their own party.
That's a fact reflected in the polls, and in the expected mud-term major gains by Democrats.
However, Bush's corruption isn't causing America to move far left. It's causing America to return to the middle.

Actually, Jenny, people like you and your yes-people are pushing moderates like myself farther to the right. I don't want to be associated with even one iota of your end of the spectrum, and I know many others who feel the same way.
So if that's your goal, good job. Seeing you and your group of "cronies" makes me wonder how in the world anyone else on Y!A can claim to be a Democrat. I'd be ashamed to have you in my party (which I don't officially have one, but if I did...).

No, left wing bomb throwers are moving the country farther right. Most of us have common sense and don't rely on Kool Aid as our only beverage. Keep it up, please. That picture is starting to get blurry.
