David this may scare you but I agree totally. In what other country could you wave signs saying that the leader of that country was a liar, murder, thief and Satan him self without risking prison or worse?

Trombonepunk87 is right about ignorance. Americans are oblivious to the what this Administration is doing. The real stuff doesn't seem as newsworthy compared to the headlines of how Britney is taking care of her child or that the president met an American idol. Should we really care about those things? As the saying goes "Ignorance is Bliss" and the American public is ignorant. I believe if the average American really new what was going on or what news reporters don't tell us they wouldn't give support to certain leaders.
Anyways to answer the question there are many things I love the most about this country but one thing is when I walk out of my house there is no war torn country in the scenery and I don't have to grieve the loss of my family and friends everyday because some leader decided to invade my country for selfish reasons.

I love the freedoms that this country offers. Freedom of opportunity, freedom of speech, freedom to be and become whatever it is that is burning inside of us. This country is an island of freedom, and it hurts to see people who do not respect it and do not value all the lovely things that this country has to offer.

The Constitution!
i prefer the Pre-2001 version wherein we still had RIGHTS.
But I think it's awesome that there used to be a country in which people could express themselves without the government being able to LEGALLY suppress them. I just hope that we can get that back in time.
PS the 2ND amendment IS the most important, not so I can kill people I disagree with, but to Discourage the government from going too far. That is why it is there. To protect the PEOPLE's god-given right to overthrow tyrannical gov't.

Agreed. Freedom of speech is #1. I would say freedom of religion if I thought we really had it.

If you are talking about America, the best thing has to be the right to bare arms - and blow the head off anyone who disagrees with you, where ever they may be, which gives the press more than enough to write about the way the incumbent administration tells them to.
God Bless America, land of the free and home of the brave (misguided sheep).

By-and-large, I love the US Constitution and the sentiment
outlined in the US Declaration of Independence.
It is not an un-thinking love. There are problems with our
Constitution, for instance - but it is a "best available so far".
I agree with you that the first amendment is the
single most important legal sentiment in existance.
I wish I could remember who said: Our country is terrible -
the only one that's worse is everyone else's.
I love and like a lot of the people around me. I'm partial to
where I live (or I wouldn't live there).
I really like American fast food - and it WILL kill me.

Free Enterprise.
But, let's not forget the fact that even a dolt from Texas can become President.

since we are playing in the US part of Yahoo, I think David is correct in assuming you all knew he was talking about the US. And, to answer your question, I love our system of checks and balances, and my favorite part of the constitution is right to privacy. And repealing prohibition!
