Because you most likely told the person that you like that you in fact like them. Thats a turn off for everyone. Attraction is not a choice, remember that. If you want somebody to like you, dont act needy, but be cool and confident.....good luck

That is not always true...
Perhaps the people you like are not worthy of your feelings.
Do you know the saying "like goes with like?" It means that people with so and so interests and so and so personalities (etc) will want to be with others that are like them. Perhaps they are not drawn to you because you are different from them.
But don't change yourself just to get someone to like you. Just be yourself. If others do not like you for you, then forget them. Find someone else that compliments you and your interests.

I think that when you like someone and they dont like you back it is because they feed off people liking them and they dont care about anyones feelings but their own and truly deep down they hate to admit it but they do like you

I have that same problem, I guess we just like a challenge, but we can't change our emotions cause it's just what you feel towards that person.

sometimes the attraction just isn't there
if you can be friends that is a start
later in years things could change, but no guarantees

because the other person sometimes may be in a relationship with someone else, or they may find the person that likes them ugly.
